Bob's expertise is in the assessment and quantification of economic damages in commercial disputes, fraud investigation
and detection, complex, financial data modeling, and the detailed analysis of large transactional databases. Bob also has
experience assisting client management and counsel through the creation of financial models and the analysis of plans of
reorganization.
Bob has provided a wide range of litigation consulting services in hundreds of large and complex commercial disputes
and corporate reorganization matters. In connection with these services, he regularly performs fact finding and discovery
assistance, lost profit calculations, business valuations, lost earnings and wages computations, causation analyses, market
studies, and other financial analyses. Bob has deep expertise in the quantification of economic damages in matters ranging
from contract claims to business interruption claims, construction and government contracting claims, intellectual property
matters, accounting malpractice, stockholder and post-acquisition disputes, antitrust matters, and personal injury claims.
Moreover, as a Certified Fraud Examiner, Bob specializes in the investigation, detection and quantification of financial
reporting fraud and asset misappropriations. He is the co-developer and author of a case study on fraudulent financial
reporting published by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for distribution to academic institutions.
Bob also has expertise in complex data analysis and financial modeling. He has designed and developed various financial modeling
tools. His engagement experience includes bankruptcy claims management systems, asbestos claims management systems, insurance claims
allocation models, revenue and cost allocation models of a Health Maintenance Organization, data warehouse construction, and extensive
reporting.
Bob earned a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration with high honors from the University of Michigan, School of
Business Administration. Following graduation and continuing through his co-founding of Crawford & Winiarski in June of 2002, Bob was employed
in the audit and financial and economic consulting practices of an international accounting and consulting firm.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Bob is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public
Accountants (MACPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Bob is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by AICPA. Bob is also a
Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA). Bob is the
recipient of the 2003 Silver Medal from the AIRA.
